Nottingham Forest agree deal with Nicolas Dominguez
tuttomercatoweb claims that Dominguez is saying goodbye to his Bologna teammates today. The Rossoblu and the player himself have accepted Nottingham Forest’s offer.
Bologna values Dominguez at £13m. But Forest could sign him for a cheaper price as Remo Freuler is reportedly set to return to Italy as part of the deal. Freuler only joined the East Midlands from Atalanta in 2022. But he has not played a minute of Premier League football this season and lost his starting spot after a dip in form in the final months of last season.
At 25, Dominguez is six years younger than Freuler. He has also won 11 caps for Argentina. And his all-around and action-packed skills could make him an instant fan favorite in the Forest. Dominguez scored three goals and set up two more in Serie A last season. He also received 10 yellow cards and averaged 2.5 successful tackles per game.
Dominguez’s contract at Bologna expires in less than 12 months. And since the strong midfielder is apparently planning a fresh start somewhere else, Rossoblu Coach Thiago Motta left him out of the starting XI against Juventus at the weekend.

“It is clear to everyone that they are two important players,” said Motta TMW by Dominguez and Jerdy Schouten.
The latter has since made a move to PSV Eindhoven.
“I don’t want dissatisfied players,” adds Motta. “I want players who give their all for the team. These decisions have little to do with me, they have more to do with management.”
