Report: David Moyes has now given Lucas Paqueta his position on a potential West Ham departure

West Ham United manager David Moyes has told Lucas Paqueta he won’t stand in the way of his dream move this summer.
This is according to a report by football transfers.
It is claimed that West Ham would consider an £85million offer for Lucas Paqueta and that Moyes would not get in the way of the attacking midfielder if accepted.
Manchester City are the club interested in Paqueta but the Premier League champions have made little progress in their bid to sign him.
After Sky Sports, City have put matters on hold and are yet to actually make an offer for the Brazilian due to a FIFA investigation involving the player. However, Sky’s Kaveh Solhekol has stated that if the issue is resolved quickly, an agreement could still be reached.
Lucas Paqueta could now stay at West Ham
While Moyes may be ready to let Paqueta go, there seems to be a very good chance the 25-year-old will stay at the London Stadium.
£85m is obviously a lot of money so it wouldn’t be a surprise if City ended their interest in him.
At the moment, the Etihad seems to be the only viable destination for the Brazil international. So should City pull out due to his price or these investigations, he should be set for another season in east London.

It wouldn’t be a terrible result. West Ham recently won a trophy, the Europa Conference League, and will now compete in the Europa League. It’s a good club to be with them at the moment.
Of course, joining City would be a huge improvement. Paqueta would work under Pep Guardiola, arguably the best manager in the world, and have a chance to win the Premier League and Champions League.
It really would be the dream move, even if the former Lyon player might have to wait until next summer to make it a reality. However, with the transfer window not closing until next month, anything can happen, especially when a super-rich team like City is involved.
