Report: Celtic now turn around as ‘big’ sought-after talent earmarked for late transfer

Celtic have now made a U-turn on Rocco Vata’s future at Glasgow, while Torino and Club Brugge are targeting the young winger’s late transfer this summer.

This is acc Sky Sports, who reports that it is “more and more likely” that Vata will leave Celtic for good. The 18-year-old is in the final year of his contract with the Premiership giants. But the Bhoys have no desire to extend the attacker’s contract or loan him out.

Vata has been at Celtic since he was seven and has spent his entire career with the club. The Hoops also presented Rudi Vata’s son with his first professional contract in July 2021 after he turned 16. Brendan Rodgers also promoted the winger to his first team this summer.

Torino have long wanted a deal to land Vata during Celtic’s current transfer window. The Serie A side also stepped up their pursuit this month. But Belgian giants Club Brugge are now firmly in the running and are following the youngster’s situation closely.
