RAPPER Dave was forced to cancel his upcoming gig at the O2 Arena in London after its roof was ripped off by Storm Eunice.
Brit Award Winning Star were scheduled to perform at the venue on Monday and Tuesday nights but have announced tonight that performances will be rescheduled.
He wrote on Instagram: “Breaking news, The O2 told us the Monday and Tuesday performances could not take place due to what the storm did to the roof of the venue,” he wrote. he said.
“We are doing all we can to reschedule performances to play as soon as humanly possible. Currently, we don’t know when the O2 arena will reopen for events but they have told us it shouldn’t be for too long.
“We are waiting for information from the location. I’ll come back with a plan as soon as I have it. I hope by the end of Monday”.
All tickets for the gig are still valid.
Yesterday, it was announced The O2 could be closed for months.
Storms wreak havoc across the country with record winds of 122 mph.
About 1,000 people were evacuated from the arena when firefighters arrived to report that the roof had partially collapsed.
Employees said the site, home to dozens of bars and restaurants, a shopping mall and a major live music venue, could be closed for months for repairs.
One person said mirror Roofs over shops were “kissed off” with a “huge buzz”.
Another said they understood at least part of the building will be closed for the next several weeks.
Fugees: Score 25 Anniversary Tour will take place at O2 tonight. The gig has been canceled altogether.
