Rapper Aitch is launching a free travel program to help young fans attend summer events

Rapper Aitch has launched a new travel program to help young fans attend festivals, gigs and other live events this summer.

The Aitch S2 project will offer train vouchers worth up to £100 to hundreds of 18-25 year olds for eight weeks in July and August.

The Manchester-born rapper, 22, has teamed up with Relentless Energy Drink for the program to ensure young fans aren’t missing out on experiences due to rising living and transport costs.

Aitch, whose real name is Harrison Armstrong, said: “I’m really excited to launch The Aitch-S2 with Relentless – there is so much amazing culture in the UK but for young people to experience it, there is a need to breaking out of their culture within city limits – this has been even harder since the pandemic, with fewer resources being devoted to improving culture.

“I don’t want anyone to miss out on this unforgettable summer so this initiative is offering free rides to help young Brits get back out there and have fun wherever they are.”

Festivals, gigs and live cultural events are back in full swing across the UK following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

However, this also comes at a time when the nation is experiencing rising living costs and escalating transportation prices.

This scheme will give young people the opportunity to apply for funding to cover the cost of rail travel to events in various cities across the UK.

The rapper hopes the initiative will help “rebalance” cultural accessibility for young music fans who might otherwise miss out on music and cultural events.

The Aitch S2 travel program runs for eight weeks from 5 July to 26 August for young people aged 18-25 across the UK.
