Rage Against the Machine has once again postponed its upcoming tour, leaving Bay Area fans confused about when they might get to see the band in concert.
Rage is set to play two nights – April 26 and 28 – at Oakland Arena. But those shows are currently listed as “postponed” on the band’s website, with no rescheduled date yet.
Local fans, however, have plenty of company in Rage-show limbo, as the Oakland gigs are among many that have been postponed without an announced rescheduling date. dad.
“Title shows scheduled from March 31, 2022 to May 23, 2022 will be postponed and rescheduled. All tickets for the rescheduled dates will be honored,” the band posted on Twitter.
The trip will now begin early July in Wisconsin, instead of late March in Texas.
While no official reason has been given to postpone the tour, the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly made many people rethink their 2022 travel plans.
This is not the first time the band has postponed a tour.
Rage Against the Machine was originally scheduled to hit the road in 2020 – with a pair of days in Oakland on the schedule for April that year – but the tour was later postponed because of the mounting number of coronavirus cases. up and basically shut down the live music industry.
