Racing star Leonna Mayor posts stunning lingerie photos from Zoo Magazine shoot while being lauded for her confidence

LEONNA MAYOR looks stunning in lingerie in these retro photos from her Zoo Magazine shoot.

The ITV Racing star was dubbed “the sexiest jockey in the world’ after stripping her silk for the stunning photo collection a few years ago.

These days the former flat jockey is more likely to be wrapped up covering the Newcastle races on Sky Sports.

Or alongside the likes of Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani at the big summer racing festivals.

But not so long ago, she traded talking horses for provocative poses in front of the camera.

Leonna, 31, looks stylish and natural by every inch for renowned snapper James Rudland.

Alongside a montage of her best pics, which included the hashtag #NationalLingerieDay, Leonna wrote on Instagram: “Oh my god she was there wasn’t she?

“Throwback to @zoo_today and @jamesrudland making me look better than I actually am.”

The well-respected racing expert added “being proud”, “physical confidence” and “women support women” below.

Needless to say, the bettors were blown away by the photos.

And in the comments were messages supporting her decision to pose in lingerie.

One said: “Absolute queen! You are gorgeous!”

Another commented: “Amazing pics Leonna.”

Another Instagram user wrote: “Amazing, stunning. Forget horse racing, you got my heart racing!”

While a Twitter follower replied: “Lovely Leonna. And very knowledgeable about your horses.”

Leonna opened up to Sun Racing last year notable rise in racing ranks.

As one of five children, she was used to fighting to make her voice heard.

But around two million people tuned in to their ITV1 debut last year to cover the Epsom Derby.

Mind you, these days anyone can make a pop via social media.

Leonna, from Stoke-on-Trent, said she had faced more than her fair share but learned to block it out and focus on the task at hand.

She said: “I think I’m quite a strong person, I’m quite black and white, but social media is terrible at times.

Ignore the trolls

“People can sometimes criticize my accent or what I’m saying, but I’m just like, ‘Oh shut up.’

“ITV is not making racing a bubble, we want everyone to come to the race or enjoy the coverage at home whether they want to bet on a horse or not.

“People say I’m natural now, but I never was before, I got so nervous. I thought I wasn’t cut out for TV.

“I would call the producer a few days before I told him I was so nervous and couldn’t do it.

“They kept pushing me and I kept getting better, but my nerves were terrible.”
