Queen’s Jubilee: Who is performing at the Platinum Party at the Palace concert?

The Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee in June, with a slew of events taking place across the country to celebrate her 70 years of reign.

One of the most star-studded events to take place over the bank holiday weekend is the Platinum Party at the Palace, which will be broadcast live on the BBC on Saturday 4 June.

The concert, which will be held at Buckingham Palace, will be moderated by Kirsty Young and Roman Kemp. It will feature three stages, 3D projections over the face of the palace and a personal audience of 10,000.

The official description of the event states: “With state-of-the-art technology and a breathtaking stage design, the event offers an incredible range of highlights from global music stars with a full live orchestra – to actors from film, television and the stage who tell the story narrates and celebrates some of the most significant cultural moments from the Queen’s seven-decade reign.”

It was announced on Wednesday (May 18) that Diana Ross would be officiating the event. Ross is playing a number of events in the UK this summer including appearing at Legends Slot in Glastonbury.

She joins British musician George Ezra, who was the first name announced back in February.

The 28-year-old “Shotgun” singer vowed at the time to “bring pop and roll to the palace.”

“I can’t tell you how excited I am to be a part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert. What an incredible honor to be asked,” he said.

The full line-up of the acts is expected to be announced by the BBC this week.

We will update this list as more acts are announced…
