THE QUEEN has tested positive for Covid Buckingham Palace was confirmed today.
Palace officials say the Queen, 95, is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms.
However, she is expected to resume light duties at Windsor over the next week.
The Queen fell ill after it was confirmed she had direct contact with Prince Charles the week he fell ill
The shocking announcement comes just weeks after the nation’s longest-reigning monarch achieved a historic 70-year Platinum Celebration on the throne on February 6.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “Buckingham Palace can confirm that the Queen has today tested positive for Covid.
“Your Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but is expected to resume light duties at Windsor over the next week.
“She will continue to receive medical care and will follow all appropriate instructions.”
