Quay-Sean Hines, a Long Island man, was arrested in the shooting of Northwell Health worker Amelia Laguerre

A Long Island man was arrested Friday and charged with shooting dead a Northwell Health worker last week, police said.
Quay-Sean Renard Hines, 30, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Amelia Laguerre, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Laguerre was shot dead in a public parking garage beneath a medical office complex in New Hyde Park, hospital and law enforcement officials said.
The woman killed was a Queens resident who had worked for Northwell Health for a decade, according to PIX11.
Early in the investigation, police indicated that she may have been the target of the attack, possibly by someone she knew.
“This person has probably been waiting in the wings. If you’ve been down in that parking garage, it’s kind of a dim light,” Constable Stephen Fitzpatrick said during a news conference on April 1. “He was probably lying in wait…then just jumped on her.”

Cops didn’t say Friday if there was a connection between Hines and the victim.
More details are expected to be revealed during a news conference Saturday morning at Nassau County Police Headquarters in Mineola.
Hines, of Bay Shore, is due to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.
