Prue Leith makes an embarrassing confession about Noel Fielding after Matt Lucas’ bake-off exit

“Taking leave baking!ā€ he wrote in a statement. “It was a delicious experience and I can’t think of a more fun way to spend my summers. But I realized that I can’t present both Fantasy Football League and baking Besides all my other projects.

“So, after three series and 51 episodes, I’m happily passing the baguette on to someone else.”

When asked who she would like to replace Lucas on the show, Leith paused before sharing her thoughts.

“I don’t know any young comedians … I had never heard of Noel Fielding when he started,” she admitted.

“[Iā€™d like] someone I know, preferably!ā€
