WASHINGTON — A leader of the far-right Proud Boys was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Friday, while another member was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the attack on the US Capitol by supporters of Donald Trump on Jan. 6, 2021.

Ethan Nordean, one of the leaders of the group, was sentenced to 18 years in prison, which is less than what prosecutors were asking for. Nordean had been convicted of seditious conspiracy and other crimes.
