Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were honored at a charity gala hosted by embattled actor Alec Baldwin in Manhattan on Tuesday night – as the British royal family prepares for their explosive Netflix series.

Dressed in a stunning off-the-shoulder white dress and black stiletto heels, Markle smiled broadly as she and her husband, dressed in a navy suit and white shirt, walked past the crowds of cameras into the Hilton.

The couple seemed unconcerned – while the British royal family and the world await the premiere of their Netflix series Harry & Meghan on Thursday. Sources have told Page Six that Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, will, among other things, “claim that they were bullied by the palace” on the series.

The former royal couple were celebrated at the Ripple of Hope Awards, an event hosted by the Robert F. Kennedy human rights organization.

Harry and Meghan were named Ripple of Hope honorees, an honor bestowed on what the organization calls “exemplary leaders in government, business, advocacy and entertainment” who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to social change and advocated for the protection and promotion of justice and justice, and human rights.” Past recipients have included President Obama.

Baldwin – who accidentally shot and killed “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, last year – attended the event with his wife Hilaria and previously claimed to reporters he was unaware of Harry and Meghan’s upcoming bombshell Netflix series.

When asked what he admires about Harry, Baldwin – notorious for his temper towards paparazzi – said he appreciates how the prince “handles difficult circumstances with the press without getting in too much trouble”.

Speaking of Harry and Meghan abandoning the royal family in 2020, Baldwin added: “They obviously chose a different path and that’s good for them.

“Sometimes I think I want to choose a different path, so we’ll see,” said the ailing star, before joking, “Maybe I can be her driver.”

Harry and Meghan arrived in New York City on a private jet on Monday and were greeted by friends on the tarmac before camping at the Lux Carlyle Hotel in Midtown.

A source with knowledge of Harry and Meghan’s Netflix series told Page Six that the couple “will discuss how they felt their best interests were not being represented by the Palace and they will speak up about being victims of the media machine.” to be of the palace”.
