Priest ‘stabbed multiple times’ and nun wounded by mad stabber at church in southern France

A PRIEST has been stabbed multiple times and a nun injured after a maniac stabber attacked a church in southern France.

A young man entered the Saint-Pierre-d’Arène church in Nice, approached the priest and stabbed him several times, sources say.

Another person, believed to be a nun, was also injured.

Police quickly arrested the suspect, who is now in custody.

Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi tweeted a picture from inside the church.

He confirmed that the alleged perpetrator has since been arrested.
