Prepare your bedroom for spring by changing 7 things – it will help you sleep better at night

The SPRING cleaning of your bedroom might look a little different than the rest of your home.
The sleep experts start the new season on Sunday, March 20th MattressNext day shared seven tips to prepare your bedroom for the warmer weather.
REPLACE CANDLES
The experts initially advised removing heavy, musky winter scents and replacing them with lighter scents for spring.
The top three recommendations include neroli, lavender, and rose, all of which help relieve stress and sleep problems.
MOVE YOUR BED
According to experts, the best position for your bed is in the middle of the longest wall in your room.
Placing your bed here will make it the main focal point in the bedroom and they said it will help you use your bedroom solely for sleeping.
They said the center of the longest wall also helps improve sleep quality, as placing it near a window or door can get too noisy.
USE LIGHTER BEDDING
The bedding you use to keep us warm in the winter shouldn’t be the same ones you use in the warmer months.
The experts advised swapping out your heavy duvet for lighter bedding to help regulate your body temperature while you sleep and reduce the likelihood of waking up with night sweats.
BUY A SNAKE PLANT
To regulate the airflow in the room, the experts suggested buying a snake plant to improve your sleep quality.
The snake plants convert carbon dioxide and add moisture to the air, which experts say reduces the effects of airborne allergens like dust.
USE BLACKOUT CURTAINS
The sleep experts explained that lighting plays a huge role in regulating our body’s internal clock.
To ensure it stays dark when you need to sleep, they recommend using blackout curtains to keep the sun from shining into your bedroom, especially if the sun rises a bit earlier.
CHANGING BOOKS AT THE TABLE
To bring bright spring colors into your bedroom, experts recommend displaying colorful books on your bedside table.
They suggested using blue, green, and pink books as these colors all have the power to promote calm, peace, and comfort at bedtime.
BRING FLOWERS
Of course, it wouldn’t be spring without some flowers.
To bring nature indoors, experts advise buying flowers, which are usually the cheapest at this time of year, to bring a touch of fresh spring into your bedroom.
Aside from their pleasant looks, the experts shared that flowers have many health benefits, such as reducing stress and elevating mood.
