Police shoot dead ‘disturbed man’ in Bronx knife attack
A distraught man attacked another person with a knife in a Bronx apartment on Sunday morning – and was shot and wounded by an NYPD officer.
A 911 caller reported that a knife-wielding man attacked someone at a building on the Grand Concourse near East Kingsbridge Road around 10am, police said.
Officers responded and at least one of them shot the man dead, police officers said.
He was in stable condition and awaiting recovery.
The relationship between the two people in the apartment was unclear.
