Police shoot dead ‘disturbed man’ in Bronx knife attack

A distraught man attacked another person with a knife in a Bronx apartment on Sunday morning – and was shot and wounded by an NYPD officer.

A 911 caller reported that a knife-wielding man attacked someone at a building on the Grand Concourse near East Kingsbridge Road around 10am, police said.

Officers responded and at least one of them shot the man dead, police officers said.
