Police release video of suspects in deadly shooting in New York

Police released surveillance video Thursday showing two armed suspects wanted in connection with a deadly Harlem shooting.

According to investigators, the two unidentified men in the video got into an argument with Jose Morales, 39, just before 3 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of West 140th Street and Broadway.

As the confrontation escalated, one of the two men shot Morales in the chest while the other displayed a black gun, police officers said.

Both perpetrators then fled on foot. The video shows the duo walking away with pistols in their hands.

Morales was taken to NYC Health + Hospital/Harlem where he was pronounced dead.

The suspects are described as two medium-skinned men in their 35s to 40s.

One of them was last seen wearing a black jacket, black and white sweatpants and black sneakers and was holding a black firearm.

His companion was seen wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and black boots and was caught on camera pulling a firearm from his right pocket.

NYPD

No arrests had been made as of Thursday afternoon. Police are now asking the public for help in identifying the suspects in the video.
