With ways to snag creatures through Mystery Gift and new updates to the game’s popular raid battles, Game Freak has kept Sword & Shield fans entertained with new content long after its initial release.

The latest support for the game comes in the form of a new ranked battle competition – the Global Challenge 2022 Spring. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.

The format for the global competition is based on the VGC rules.

Pokemon Sword & Shield Global Challenge 2022 Spring Registration Date and Time

Registration for the following Sword & Shield online competition opens on April 21, 2022at the 5:00 UTC and ends on May 5, 2022at the 23:59 UTC.

The player is allowed to bring six creatures and they can also hold items.

Global Challenge 2022 Spring – Date of the fight

Since registration ends on May 5, 2022, the competition will take place begin shortly thereafter May 6, 2022.

It runs for two days Global challenge starts on May 8, 2022 at 23:59 UTC.

One of your pocket monsters will be able to dynamize during battle, choose wisely.

Global Challenge 2022 Spring – Battle format

Corresponding Serebii, all players who participate in at least three battles will be rewarded with 50 Battle Points.
