The event begins on January 19 and ends on February 1.
Only Hisuian Voltorb roll out on January 31st, so players will only have a few days to catch and catch it.
Pokemon GO’s Moon event runs from Tuesday, February 1 to Monday, February 7, so there’s plenty of time to catch Hisuian Voltorb.
Shiny variations are available, and both the Hisuian- and Kanto regions occur more frequently in the wild.
There are some special Research quests to tick, which reward you with an encounter with Voltorb if you’re struggling to find one.
