PewDiePie defends a fan who admitted him to a meet-and-greet at a pop-up shop

YouTube star PewDiePie defended his fan after they helped him out at his wife Marzia’s pop-up shop last month.

PewDiePie is the most subscribed independent content creator on YouTube.

The OG influencer has been playing on the platform for 12 years and boasts a respectable following of over 111 million subscribers.

Therefore, it is not surprising that he is recognized in public from time to time. This is especially true if he is attending a convention or other event to which fans are invited.

Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg is YouTube’s most-subscribed independent content creator with over 111 million subscribers as of the writing of this article.

Most recently, this happened during a pop-up shop for Pottery of his wife Marzia.

The pop-up took place March 19-24 in Brighton, UK, where he and Marzia live until they eventually move to Japan.

Naturally, the event caused a stir and fans of Marzia and her products flocked to the store to snag some goodies – including one fan who recorded a small snippet of his experience at the store.

The video shows Felix helping Marzia by stocking the shelves with various ceramic pots while customers wait in line at the checkout.

The fan uploaded the short video to Reddit, humorously captioned the clip, “I’m not crying because I finally met Pewds.”

Unfortunately, the video didn’t get a positive response, as one commenter claimed it was “kind of weird just recording someone”.

“If you ever see him again just say hello he may inspire us all but at the end of the day he is a human being and I’m pretty sure he would prefer to be treated as one,” they wrote.

However, Pewds saw the situation differently, saying that in certain situations it was perfectly fine to include this and clarifying that the fan had indeed said hello.

“Well, she just said hello,” Felix said. “It was totally fine. I feel like in this store it was kind of expected that people would do that, so I really don’t mind.

“It’s more weird when I’m on the street or something,” he added.

Though PewDiePie has insisted on not being approached at moments like dinner, it looks like he’s willing to let it slide in certain circumstances.
