“When I got the show I was 20 years old and had no idea what I was doing. I still don’t, but especially back then… I’ve had so much to share with this audience and literally grow up in front of your eyes. We’ve been through the good times and the bad, the happiest times and the darkest together.”

Davidson continued, “I owe a debt to Lorne Michaels and everyone else SNL my life. I’m so thankful and without her I wouldn’t be here. I appreciate that you guys always have my back and stand up for me, even if that wasn’t the popular belief.

SNL is my home. I’m so happy and sad about tonight’s show. For so many reasons I can’t explain. I can’t wait to be back in a Mulaney musical number next year. – Resident youngster Pete Davidson.”
