Pervert ties up woman and tries to commit sex, cops say

A woman fled after a stranger approached her in a Bronx park and tried to force her to have a sex act with him, authorities said.

The 39-year-old victim was sitting on a bench in Crotona Park when the man spoke to her around 8:30am on Friday, and then left. According to police, it was not clear what he was saying.

A short time later, the man returned, exposed himself to the woman, and attempted “to get the victim to perform a sexual act on him,” the NYPD said.

The victim “was able to free himself from his grip,” said a police spokesman.

He fled the park “to unfamiliar areas,” police said. Paramedics took the woman to Saint-Barnabas Hospital, where she was in stable condition, police said.

The suspect was described as a light-complexioned male with short curly hair and facial hair. He was last seen in a black hoodie, black sweatpants and black sandals, according to police.
