Person on New York subway grabs woman’s hair and yells obscenities

Disturbing footage recently shared on social media shows a person threatening subway riders, kicking a car window and tearing a woman’s hair as she tried to escape, while other straphangers avoid the breakout.

That rough two-minute video posted to Twitter on Wednesday by Joel Fischer features a person who appears unwell and yells obscenities before sitting down and grabbing a J-Train driver’s hair as she tries to move away.

“Someone help me,” the trapped, tormented woman said softly. Meanwhile, other commuters either looked on, walked away, or ignored the couple without coming to her aid.

About 30 seconds later, the emotionally disturbed straphanger shouted, “Get up!” prompting the unfortunate woman affected by the eruption to get up. The scary rowdy – who was wearing an ill-fitting white sweatshirt, black pants and gray sneakers – then pushed her away before charging off in the opposite direction.

“Shut up!” The obstinate driver then yelled as he paced the car.

“I’m dealing with that,” the man who recorded the incident said to the camera.

“NYC, demons, do you understand?” he added before commenting on the situation incomprehensibly.

Video continued to show the unstable individual continuing to scream, standing in the tube car seat and repeatedly kicking the window as the train approached Delancey Street/Essex Street station.

It’s unclear when the viral video was captured and who captured the footage. A tweet sharing the video received more than 14,000 retweets and 24,000 likes as of Sunday morning.

An NYPD official told The Post Sunday that the department was unaware of the incident.

“There have been no reports of the video,” a spokesman said.

Commentators on the disturbing video lamented that straphangers did not help the woman, who appeared to have been attacked at random by the mentally ill subway driver.

โ€œI trust that if I were there I would [have] done something”, tweeted Kenneth Adams. “I’ve lived in NYC my whole life, what the heck is going on, real talk?!? New York!!! We have to get better!!!

“You’re telling me that some of you couldn’t get together to help this lady???” replied another Twitter user.

“No one helped? But this person filming only prayed to one god? How is that supposed to work?โ€ raged another commenter. “Why doesn’t anyone intervene?[?]โ€
