Bryan Gil is looking to speed up his return to Tottenham Hotspur after a frustrating injury break.

The forgotten man here is Gil, who is back at Tottenham after spending the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla.

Bryan Gil returns to Tottenham Hotspur training

Gil helped Sevilla reach the Europa League final before returning to north London in the hope of impressing new coach Ange Postecoglou.

Gil is facing a crucial phase at Tottenham

Porro may think Gil is a wizard on the ball, but we’re still waiting to see him in a Spurs jersey on a permanent basis.

Gil joined Tottenham more than two years ago but is yet to really hit his stride in north London.

The Spaniard has only played 13 Premier League games for Spurs and has been loaned out twice, first to Valencia and then to Sevilla.

There have been doubts as to whether Gil is really suitable for Premier League action given his slim build.

However, Gil clearly has plenty of technical ability and if any manager can get the best out of him then perhaps it is Postecoglou.

If Gil doesn’t progress this season, Tottenham could end his Spurs career and try to sign him in 2024.
