Paul will star in the latest series, which is slated to air later this year, according to a report in Daily Star.

His appearance on the cooking show will come as no surprise to his fans, as he has been showing off his culinary skills while under lockdown.

Paul has mastered his cooking skills and shared his talents on his YouTube channel during the coronavirus lockdown.

The comedian has made everything from Moussaka to bread and butter pudding.

A spokesperson for Masterchef declined to confirm whether Paul was on the latest celebrity list, and said: “We do not comment on speculations about Celebrity MasterChef listings.”

Paul – part of the icon Chuckle brothers duet with late brother Barry Chuckle – had his own cooking show, Chucklevision: What’s Cooking where two brothers run a bakery.

He’s had a career spanning half a century and the pair have appeared in all sorts of shows.

Their careers were kicked off with an appearance on the talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1967.

From 1996-1998, they presented the children’s game show To Me, To You named after their signature catchphrase, set on a deserted island.

After their first performance, they appeared on several other variety shows before securing their own show Chuckle Vision, the children’s show that made them famous.

The show is one of the longest running children’s programs in the world BBC continued for 22 years from 1987 to 2009.

Just over three years ago, Paul released a revealing statement heartbroken over Barry’s passing.

He said, “Not only did I lose my brother, but I also lost my co-star of many years and my best friend.

“The family wants to thank the many people who have been fans of the Chuckle Brothers and know they will share in the great loss they feel.”
