“You look at the outputs of these teams and that has to be part of it if you want to fight for the title.

“I don’t know what Arsenal are willing to do, but of course there is an opportunity to do it.

“There’s a cycle where City was the team and now there’s Liverpool and Chelsea.

“I believe Manchester United will be there to challenge, so there are five teams capable of winning the Premier League.

“It’s important for Arsenal to get into the Champions League because of the size of the football club.”

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal can tighten their grip on fourth by beating Vieiras Eagles at Selhurst Park tonight – a seventh win in their last eight games.

Arteta’s side have been criticized for ‘cheering’ victories in recent weeks – particularly by several pundits.

When asked about this, Vieira smiled: “Experts? I hope that when you win a game it’s not a problem to celebrate, it should never be enough or too much, it’s just a celebration.”
