Paige Spiranac, podcast co-host feud with golf influencer

Paige Spiranac entered the chat.

This week, the golf influencer found herself in the midst of a Twitter feud that also involved her new Playing A Round podcast host, Amanda Rose, and fellow golfer Hailey Rae Ostrom. The beef appeared to begin after Rose tweeted her support for Tiger Woods, who was inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame on Wednesday. when he was introduced by daughter Sam.

“Tiger Woods could be the ultimate girl dad. Even bigger than his golfing legacy might be his dad,” Rose wrote on Tuesday, to which Ostrom replied, “Ehhh, I have slightly higher expectations of a ‘great girl dad.’ Love tigers today, but we can’t ignore 2009. I believe a father of girls should be a walking example of the kind of man her daughter deserves. My own father set the bar pretty high. Tiger does not belong in the same category.”

Rose then hit back at Ostrom — who appeared to be hinting at a troubling time in Woods’ life in her original tweet — by drawing attention to a pinned message from her past.

“‘Sex is cool and stuff’ isn’t that the pinned tweet on your profile I’ve never seen? Ehh, I have slightly higher expectations for someone so judgmental. Rose wrote to Ostrom before seemingly dropping out of the fight.

Enter Spiranac, which then boosted Ostrom and her father into high gear.

“Her dad said I was a bad role model and put me down for how I built my business,” she tweeted. “I got them both banned for things they said about me. It is easy to make judgments, but it shows great character to learn from mistakes. Calling someone you don’t know a bad parent is low,” Spiranac tweeted.

Ostrom then denied Spiranac’s allegations in a separate message.

“It’s easier to play victim. To say that me and my father (?) were mean. But actually, you and I had a SIMPLE disagreement regarding feminism (which is ridiculous)” Ostrom tweetedalso claimed It had been blocked by Spiranac on twitter. “They blocked me in dms after a private conversation. I never gave you a name. Never sit down.”

However, Spiranac was not finished.

“No victim, do not engage in counterfeiting” She answered. “Your dad sent me a DM on IG. This has nothing to do with the conversation we had, but with the comments you made behind my back. You told Amanda that women shouldn’t belittle other women, but you seem to have a lot to say about me to other people.”

Ostrom said she would like to see the message her father allegedly sent to Spiranac.

“I know I DMed you because you thought a comment I made on someone’s post affected you.” Ostrom claimed in a tweet. “So I sent you a dm to let you know, hey, it wasn’t about you…no awkward feelings.” I’m sorry if it came off that way.”

you then followed with, “At the end of the day, that’s something that happened in 2018/19. I know you were offended by a comment I made, whether it was about you or not. I sincerely apologize for offending you. We have the same overall goal in this sport and that is to grow the game.”

As for Rose and Spiranac, the couple jokingly teased how “interesting” the next episode of the podcast will be, to say the least.

“I have a feeling next week’s episode of @playingaroundpodcast will be *very* interesting for us, huh, @_paige.renee?” Rose quipped on Instagramto which Spiranac replied on Thursday: “We should have a section called tea time where we just gossip as we’re ‘mean girls’ now LOL
