Day 96 of the Major League Baseball lockout in New York was the kind of March day that people usually get a little more itchy for Opening Day thanks to temperatures creeping into the 70s.

If you close your eyes, imagine one day this spring sitting at Yankee Stadium or Citi Field with about 40,000 other fans. The warm weather may also have prompted you to start a Grapefruit League game — Yankees-Red Sox and Mets-Cardinals were originally scheduled for Monday.
