Orlando’s Colonial High School goes on lockdown as lawmakers search campus for “persons with guns.”

A high school is on lockdown while lawmakers search the campus for a person with a possible gun.
Law enforcement was notified as Colonial High School in Orlando was closed on Friday afternoon.
The school said no one is allowed on or off campus while they investigate.
Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office searched the campus for the person with a possible weapon.
No information was released as to who the person might be and what the possible weapon was.
In a statement, the school told the families that they had received an anonymous tip from Fortify Florida about an individual with a possible gun on campus.
“The safety of our students and staff is always my top priority,” the statement concluded.
Images from the scene showed at least 11 police cars swarming across campus.
Officials have said they will update the public as soon as they have more information.
