Opening Night returns to Oklahoma City with live events


OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – As families prepare for Christmas, Opening Night organizers say they are gearing up for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Organizers say Opening Night will be live at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on December 31, starting at 7pm
Peter Dolese, CEO of ACOKC said: “Last year’s virtual event at the ballpark went extremely well and we are delighted that this year we are able to fill the stands with everyone again. to enjoy the festive atmosphere,” said Peter Dolese, CEO of ACOKC.
The performers range from Americana/root rock to jazz, opera, rock ‘n’ roll, etc
Food trucks will be available outside the gate along Mickey Mantle Drive. Additionally, the four artists will debut their murals as part of FRESH PAINT, a project that fosters aspiring young artists in the black, indigenous and people of color communities.
The night will end with a spectacular fireworks display and a Midnight Traditional Festival.
Visitors are encouraged to wear masks, especially when entering indoor access points.
