BALTIMORE (WJZ) – An Old Mill High School employee was arrested Tuesday over allegations that he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old student, Anne Arundel County Sheriff said Wednesday.
Fulgencio Salomon Jolon, 30, of Glen Burnie, has been remanded into custody on a warrant that charges him with three counts of second-degree assault, fourth-degree sex offence, and fourth-degree sex offense involving a authority, police said.
The charges stem from allegations that emerged in September of an alleged sexual relationship involving a student and staff member of Old Mill High.
After learning of the charges on September 28, police spoke to the 16-year-old female student, who told investigators she had been sexually assaulted by a school employee the day before.
The school district notified the Board of Education of the charges and barred Jolon from entering the school property while the investigation continues, police said.
After gathering evidence and interviewing potential witnesses in the case, detectives received a warrant for Jolon’s arrest.
Citing an active investigation, police are asking anyone with knowledge of Jolon-related allegations to call the Anne Arundel County Child Abuse Unit at 410-222-4733. To remain anonymous, call 410-222-4700.
