OLD MAN !!! NMU’s ‘Elf the Musical’ opens this weekend at Forest Roberts Theater

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) – You must have seen the classic Christmas movie ‘Elf’ starring Will Ferrell. But have you seen the musical? Now is your chance.

Northern Michigan University Theater and Dance students over the past few weeks have been working hard to bring you ‘Elf the Musical’. The family-friendly production will premiere this weekend, Friday, December 3 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 4 at 2 p.m. (sensory-friendly programming) and 8 p.m. at the Forest Roberts Theater. The musical was directed by Broadway actor Hunter Foster.

“If they love the movie, they will love this musical. It has all the classic lines from the movie, like “you smell like beef and cheese” and “you sit on the throne of lies” all classic lines by Will Ferrell, “Foster said. And there’s a lot of choreography. So it’s a really big Broadway musical with singing and dancing and Santa, I mean it’s got everything. I think it’s the perfect holiday. .”
