ACRES WAR, Okla. (KFOR) – A Warr Acres woman filed a lawsuit against the Warr Acres Police Department, City of Warr Acres, and a Warr Acres PD officer on Monday for allegedly assaulting her and her son while responding to a plea. call for medical assistance at her home.
This woman is seeking $75,000 in punitive damages after “suffering actual physical harm, mental and physical pain, shame and humiliation, as well as damages.” and other loss” following an incident that is believed to have occurred on March 22.
She said her son was suffering from epilepsy, so the family called 911 for medical assistance.
The lawsuit reads: “At the time no call was sent to Warr Acres dispatch requesting the presence of the Warr Acres Police Department if there was any disturbance or threatening situation.”
When police arrived, “the family was anxiously assessing the situation,” the lawsuit said.
One of the officers allegedly “began to rebel against the family”, namely the boy’s mother, “who was extremely concerned about her son’s well-being.”
After the officer allegedly “started threatening her that he would arrest her if she kept talking to him,” she entered her home. The officer then allegedly “broke into the mansion and disposed of her.”
The lawsuit continues, “when she tried to get up,” the officer “punched her forehead causing a bloodstain and threw her to the ground.”
Then, according to the lawsuit, her son “started having seizures” and “saw men assaulting his mother and trying to help her.”
The lawsuit alleges the officer also “punched him in the face” and “deployed his duties” on him. The other officers then allegedly began “beating him all over his body with their fists and a blunt object, severely beating him.”
According to the lawsuit, neither the woman nor her son were arrested “at the conclusion of these tragic events.”
The woman had to have stitches on her forehead. She spoke to News 4 when the camera was off on Wednesday and showed our crew the deep scar.
We have left a message with Sheriff Warr Acres for comment, also hoping to receive a copy of the police report. He did not return our calls.
