Former MLB pitcher Odalis Perez has reportedly died at the age of 44 after an accident at his home.
The LA Dodgers star reportedly fell off a ladder in the Dominican Republic, where he was living.
Perez’s lawyer told EPSN: “We do not yet know the cause of death but everything seems to indicate that Odalis slipped down a ladder.
“This is a tragedy.”
Walin Batista added, “Around 7 p.m., his brother Cristian Perez arrived at the house and found Odalis lying on the patio.”
The Dodgers tweeted, “The Los Angeles Dodgers mourn the loss of former pitcher and 2002 All-Star Odalis Pérez.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends.”
