October 2022 Gold Xbox Games List confirms Xbox 360 games will not be replaced

September 2022 was the last month that Microsoft added Xbox 360 games to its games list Xbox games with gold. Now the Games With Gold titles have been announced for October 2022 and it is now perfectly clear that the Xbox 360 games will not be replaced by more Xbox One games or even Xbox Series X|S games.

Two upcoming Xbox games with gold titles

The Xbox Games With Gold games for October 2022 are Windbound and Bomber Crew: Deluxe Edition for Xbox One. Windbound will be the first Xbox One title to be available on October 1st. The survival game has players shipwrecked on the Forbidden Islands, where they must unravel the mysterious secrets of the islands, gather resources to survive, and build a ship tough enough to survive the journey home. The game is available in Games with Gold until October 31st.

The second Xbox One title, Bomber Crew: Deluxe Edition, will join Games with Gold on October 16th. Players must assemble a crew to fly a World War II bomber and complete a variety of missions while dodging the dangers of enemies and inclement weather. The Deluxe Edition includes the Secret Weapons and USAAF DLCs, as well as the full game itself. Bomber Crew is available until November 15th.

When Microsoft announced earlier this year that they were ending free Xbox 360 games, gamers wondered if they would be replaced. After all, Sony offers three PS Plus games per month, with at least two for PS4 and at least one for PS5. However, it seems Microsoft isn’t following suit, and again the company hasn’t mentioned any plans to add more games to its monthly Games With Gold deals. At the moment, players only get two games with gold per month.
