“Obi-Wan Kenobi” boss vowed to “disown” his children because of Leia.

Obi-Wan Kenobi boss Joby Harold announced Wednesday that he had to swear his kids to secrecy after they found out a fan favorite would be playing a central role in the new Disney+ hit.

Spoiler Alert: Harold, who is also the show’s writer and executive producer, joked that he had to warn his descendants that if they told anyone how important Princess Leia was to the journey Obi-Wan had before, he would be forced to disown them had himself. reports Newsweek.

“I haven’t told many people. I’ve kept it a secret — but in my house, someone has to do it, you know?” Harold told the outlet. “[To] carry the weight with me, I can’t do everything alone.”

He continued, “You had known about Leia and that was all I knew [said] “I will deny you if you ever are [tell someone],’ because they knew the code name [for Leia] So they found out, and I was just like, ‘You can never tell a human soul.’”

In the series, Leia – played by 10-year-old Vivien Lyra Blair – is kidnapped by an Inquisitor named Reva (Moses Ingram) in order to rescue the exiled Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) from his hiding place Darth to lure Vader (Hayden Christensen).

“I think I probably should, I knew that,” Harold said when asked whether or not he should keep the secret from his family. “I couldn’t not tell them, you know?”

“So we shared responsibility, and they were very good at keeping it to themselves because they were sworn to secrecy,” he added.

Harold’s kids didn’t disappoint their dad, as fans were unaware of the princess’ involvement until the series premiered on May 27, 2022.

“[I’m] Equally happy and nervous, happy that it seemed to resonate with audiences when this was revealed,” said Harold.

“Because we largely know where we are going [with the show] …well, doing that with Leia and also bringing up the idea that she matters and it’s not just about Luke and they’re both of equal importance in the Skywalker saga.”

Fans of the series were treated to a few glimpses of nostalgia during this week’s episode, as Star Christensen shed his dark armor and donned his Jedi robes once more.

“I still can’t believe we actually got that prequel flashback scene in 2022 with Hayden as Anakin and Ewan as Obi Wan.” gushed one fan.

“The flashback of Anakin and Obi-Wan sparring and then the cut to Vader staring away, he’s been thinking about it!!! He remembered good times with Obi-Wan. I am not okay,” gushed another emotional fan.

Meanwhile, one viewer was just glad an iconic hairstyle was back.

“REVIEW WITH MULLET OBI-WAN”, said.

The final episode of the first season of “Kenobi” will air on June 22, 2022 on Disney+.
