NYC shooting leaves Bronx teens dead: NYPD

A 14-year-old boy was shot dead Wednesday night while walking down a street in the Bronx with a friend, police and sources said.
The teenager and his pal were outside of 2249 Morris Avenue in Fordham Heights when they were ambushed by two gunmen who jumped out from behind a car around 9:15 p.m., police officers and the sources said.
The suspects opened fire on the two, hitting the 14-year-old in the upper body, police said.
He was taken to St. Barnabas where he was pronounced dead.
It was unclear whether the victim’s friend was also hit by gunfire.
Sources said investigators recovered five shell casings at the scene.
Officers are searching for the two men, one of whom was carrying a blue belt bag, sources said.
