NYC Parks employee attacked by masked man at public baths: police officers

A mysterious masked man hit a City Parks Department worker with a chair with a chair outside Betsy Head Pool in Brooklyn on Saturday morning, police said.

The 38-year-old Parks worker was clearing the front of the Brownsville facility with a leaf blower around 8 a.m. when she was hit multiple times in the head with a folding metal chair, officials said.

The attacker then ran away.

The woman was taken to the hospital “conscious and breathing,” Parks officials said.

NYPD said she is in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital.

“Our employees who are subjected to violent assaults are just appalling,” said Crystal Howard, a Parks spokeswoman. “. We are actively cooperating with the NYPD in investigating the matter.”

Police said the suspect was a man wearing a ski mask, black shirt and black pants

There were no arrests.
