NYC Child Services Agency to investigate the handling of accused murderer mother Dimone Fleming’s previous neglect case

The city’s child welfare agency is taking “deep dives” into how it is handling a previous alleged neglect case involving Dimone Fleming and her eldest son, whom she allegedly killed along with her baby over the weekend, Mayor Eric Adams said Tuesday.
“ACS is delving deep into this to find out what happened there,” Hizzoner said of the Administration for Children’s Services, which opened an investigation into Fleming’s alleged improper care of their eldest boy, Daishawn Fleming, after his birth about three years ago.
Adams declined to provide details of the previous investigation.
“We can’t do that,” he said.
Fleming, 22, has admitted to murdering Daishawn and her 11-month-old boy Octavius Fleming at their apartment at a Bronx animal shelter on Saturday, cops and police sources said.

She was allegedly possessed by demonic possession, and police officers are investigating if she thought the children were possessed, police sources said.
On Tuesday, the mayor commended the overall work of ACS, the city agency tasked with handling child, safety and juvenile justice cases.
“I think these are professionals who are dealing with the challenges of keeping families together but protecting children, and I think they’re doing a good job every day,” he said.
