OMAHA, Neb. (AP) – Caleb Grill scored a season-high 16, Izaiah Brockington got all 12 in the second half and number 19 Iowa State remained undefeated with a 64-58 win over Creighton. The Cyclones are leading 8-0 under freshman coach TJ Otzelberger and a squad has been overhauled after drawing 2-22 last season. Ryan Hawkins scored a season-high 25 points to lead Creighton and Ryan Nembhard to 10. But the Bluejays (7-2) have lost for the first time in 24 unorganized home games after 21 goals.
