‘Non-starter’: Levy is not even considering appointing two managers at Tottenham at the moment – journalist

Dean Jones has claimed that Brendan Rodgers or Graham Potter are extremely unlikely to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

The journalist made this claim GiveMeSporta day after Arne Slot was also ruled out of the race as he reiterated his desire to extend his contract with Feyenoord.

Since Antonio Conte’s departure, while players like Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique have had strong ties to the job, it seems the two are no longer in contention for the role either.

Now Dean Jones is confident that neither Brendan Rodgers nor Graham Potter will get the coaching job at Tottenham Hotspur.

What Dean Jones said about Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter being ineligible for the Tottenham coaching job

On Friday it was reported that in Rodgers’ case he had been offered the job but Levy was not a fan of his possible appointment.

As for Potter, a Thursday report mentioned that he was the “favourite” for the next Nice leadership.

While Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter remain closely associated with the Tottenham managerial role, the renowned journalist assured that neither coach is likely to be a newcomer as things stand.

“I know Spurs fans wondering what the chances are of Brendan Rodgers or Graham Potter coming in, but up to that point I’ve been told he wasn’t a starter.”

“So that again looked very unlikely. Spurs may now have to explore that route, but from everything I’ve heard I think both would require a lot of negotiation and persuasion.”

One can imagine that Tottenham fans are unlikely to be too disappointed by this revelation about their new manager’s situation, as Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter have seen their shares plummet.

The concern on the N17 white side is likely to be that there is no indication of who will replace Antonio Conte in a situation that has become a circus.
