Nicaragua candidate Dan Lembo has died at the age of 75

Dan Lembo, who appeared as a contestant on Survivor: Nicaragua, has died at the age of 75.

The Brooklyn native was found dead at his Manhattan home on Sept. 3, according to his obituary. A cause of death was not given.

Lembo was 63 years old when he appeared on the hit TV show in 2010. The fan favorite was part of the Espada tribe and finished in fifth place after being voted out on day 37.

Friends and family described Lembo as a “charismatic, larger-than-life, outgoing bon vivant” and said he “loved nothing more than spending time with his children and friends — new and old.”

“He enjoyed softball with friends at Bridgehampton over the weekend,” reads Lembo’s obituary. “Daniel will be remembered by all as a friend and a father of two.”

Prior to his television appearances, the Brooklyn College graduate spent most of his career in real estate.

Lembo is survived by his sons Matthew and Michael, their spouses, and his five grandchildren.

In his obituary, Lembo’s son Matthew wrote: “Thank you for being my father. you were a happy person you were my best friend I’ll miss you.”

Meanwhile, Michael wrote: “Dad, no matter what the situation, you were always there for me. you were my first call You were my traveling companion. Every weekend we went on our trips.

“Whether it was skiing in Vermont, house-viewing in the Hamptons, a sunny weekend in Miami, or a Yankees playoff game, we’ve always been together. I’ll miss you. I love you.” Nicaragua candidate Dan Lembo has died at the age of 75
