How is the Queen’s health now?
The Queen has a number of high-profile events ahead of her that she will attend, including the Commonwealth service at Westminster Abbey on March 14 and the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service on March 29, also at the Abbey.
The nation’s longest-reigning monarch, who is believed to have been triple-vaccinated, had just returned to something remotely normal following a health crisis last autumn when she contracted the virus.
That fall, she dropped out of attendance at the Cop26 climate summit, the Festival of Remembrance, and then the Remembrance Sunday Cenotaph service because of a back sprain. She also missed the Church of England General Synod.
The Queen now regularly uses a walking stick and has recently been portrayed as frail.
As well as her virtual events, the Queen has been doing light duties during her recovery, working with red boxes of state papers to be read and approved and signed if necessary.
