The investigation into how Project Veritas obtained the diary is still ongoing.

New York Times reported on Thursday that they had found out how the diary reached Project Veritas – a story that, according to the newspaper, began last spring.

Throughout Joe Biden’s campaign, Ashley kept a low profile while living in Delray Beach, Florida.

She stayed with a friend who rented a two-bedroom house there, sources told the Times. Ashley was previously in Florida when she underwent rehabilitation.

In June 2020, Ashley moved to Philadelphia, planning to return home to Delray Beach in the fall. That’s when her friend let her ex-girlfriend, Aimee Harris, and her two children move in together, according to the Times.

According to The Times, two individuals familiar with the matter said Harris soon discovered Ashley used to live in the home and some of her belongings were still there. Harris’s social media posts show that she was a supporter of the then President Donald Trump, according to the Times.

In September 2020, Project Veritas is reported to have obtained the diary from Harris and a friend of hers. How the transfer took place is still under investigation

According to what Project Veritas told a federal judge in a court filing, around September 3 of last year, a tip left a voice message to Project Veritas saying “a new person moved to a place that Ashley Biden was previously in and found her. . Biden’s diary and other personal items. “

The tipper said the “diary was pretty insane,” according to court documents.

The Veritas Project said it purchased the diary through an unspecified authorization from “AH” and “RK,” according to the Times, referring to Harris and Robert Kurlander, friends and former housemates of Harris.

Harris “fully cooperates with the investigation and will continue to respond to government requests for evidence and her version of events,” Guy Fronstin, her attorney, told The Times in an email. “When the truth comes out, it will become clear that my client has information relevant to the investigation but not the crime.”

Kurlander and his attorney were not available for comment, according to The Times.
