New CCTV footage shows brave restaurant workers helping Amir Khan and his wife Faryal as boxer was robbed of £71,000 at gunpoint

NEW CCTV footage shows the moment restaurant staff rushed out to help Amir Khan after he was robbed at gunpoint.
The former world boxing champion had just eaten at the East London restaurant Sahara Grill.
After saying goodbye to the employees khan and his wife, Faryal Makhdoom, crossed the street to a parked vehicle.
But in a flash, Khan was approached by two men, one of whom pointed a gun at him.
The 35-year-old was robbed his £71,000 diamond-encrusted Franck Muller Vanguard Chronograph watch in 19k rose gold.
The two men then got into a vehicle parked a few meters away and drove away.

Footage from inside the restaurant shows Khan walking through the glass door while staff wait at the entrance.
When Khan is approached by the shooter, an employee points to it before storming out of the bar.
A number of other employees then pour out the door to try and help Khan.
A total of eight men are seen leaving the restaurant and walking over to Khan.
The restaurant posted the clips on its Instagram page.
A witness in Leyton, east London, said: “The robbery was over in seconds and clearly targeted.
“I’m afraid the robbers saw the clock on social media and followed Amir to lie in wait while he was eating.
“He’s been really calm through all of this, which works to his credit.”
Olympic silver medalist Khan posted a picture of the watch and its serial number on Instagram to try to catch the criminals.
He told fans: “It feels a little weird not wearing a watch but it is what it is.
“I just wanted to tell you guys that I’m fine.”
Police said they are investigating.
