New Amazon Prime Video drama Riches starts December 2nd

They say never mix family and business.

It doesn’t make great relationships, but it’s been proven time and time again: it makes great television.

At least that’s what “Riches” relies on. Prime Video’s latest original series follows the wealthy, UK-based Richards family as they manage their cosmetics empire following the sudden death of patriarch, businessman and company founder Stephen Richards.

Similar to other hit dramas in recent years, the catastrophe of Stephen’s death throws the family into disarray; Factions form, tensions mount, and the future of the company and family is at stake.

Already addicted?

We know we are. Ready to dive into the family drama? Below we have more details about the series, its cast, and when and how to watch the first episode.

Episode one of Riches just premiered exclusively on Prime Video. With a trailer this good and a premise this strong, it’s about time you subscribe if you don’t already have one (or try a free 30-day trial).

In addition to Riches, a Prime Video subscription gives you access to tons of content, including this season’s hottest shows (The Peripheral), movies (My Policeman), and sports (Thursday Night Football).

As if that wasn’t enough, for a limited time, Amazon is also offering discounted add-on channels like Showtime, Starz, Paramount+, and more for just $1.99 a month for two months.

When will Riches air?

Binger, rejoice! No need to wait a week for more “riches” as they fall. All six episodes of the limited series are now available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

What is Riches about?

Details have been kept fairly under wraps, but as mentioned in the intro, Riches is about the Richards family, or should we say Richard’s families, as it soon becomes apparent that the recently deceased patriarch Stephen had two.

That makes it all the more difficult to compete for his estate and control of Flair & Glory, the black owned and operated business that Stephen built from the ground up.

When Nina (Deborah Ayorinde) and her brother Simon (Emmanuel Imani), Stephen’s estranged ex-pat children, return to the herd, to her surprise and the family, Nina is given responsibility for Flair & Glory and her father’s legacy.

Is Nina up to the task? Does she even want to be? Or will her family bring her down before she can make up her mind?

There’s only one way to find out: stream Riches on Amazon Prime Video today. New Amazon Prime Video drama Riches starts December 2nd
