Netflix Releases ‘Awesome’ First 8 Minutes Of Stranger Things Season 4

The fourth season of Netflix hit Stranger Things will be released on May 27, but for fans who can’t wait another week, the streamer has released an extended preview.

The clip, showing the first eight minutes of the fourth season premiere, was released on Netflix’s YouTube channel.

Set in 1979 at the Hawkins International Laboratory, it begins to flesh out the backstory of stranger things‘ Super-powered heroine, Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown).

The lab seems to function as some sort of Montessori school from hell for supernatural kids, all silently completing rudimentary tasks — like moving a wooden disk — using only the power of their minds.

The lead scientist is Dr. Martin Brenner, played by Matthew Modine, who last appeared in the second season of the sci-fi comedy.

Fans are already responding to the sneak peek on Twitter, with most asking for more. “Talk about a great appetizer before the main course next Friday!” posted a user.

Netflix has confirmed that the first seven episodes of season four will debut on May 27th, with two more episodes set to release on July 1st. The final episode of the season will be over two hours long.

Alongside Brown and Modine, stars Winona Ryder and David Harbor also return as Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper.

You can watch the full clip on Netflix’s YouTube channel.
