Nearly 50 grams of fentanyl found in Charlotte County home, woman arrested for drug trafficking and possession

On Friday morning, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman for drug trafficking and possession. This happened at a house on the 22000 block of Laika Avenue in Port Charlotte.

The house belonged to Kimberly Diggins, 38, whose congressmen found nearly 50 grams of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and numerous needles, along with a large sum of money. The amount of fentanyl itself was 12 times the amount needed to commit a human trafficking charge, and that amount carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in prison.

Diggins is known for her sheriff’s office, as she has been under arrest since 2007. Her previous arrests include fraud, grand theft, possession of heroin with the intent to sell and contributing to a crime. law of minors.

“The amount of fentanyl seized today has certainly saved many lives,” said Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell.
