NC soldier involved in shooting in Siler City, police say

SILER CITY, NC (WNCN) – Police officers from multiple agencies were still at the scene late Monday night of a shooting involving a North Carolina State Highway Patrol officer that occurred Monday afternoon, police said.

The shooting was reported just before 4:45 p.m. in Siler City near the intersection of Harmony and Solo Drives, according to Siler City Police.

The filming location is in a neighborhood just off US 64. As of 10:00 p.m., the Harmony Drive area still had a heavy law enforcement presence.

It is not known who was injured in the shooting.

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, Siler City Police Department and North Carolina State Highway Patrol were at the scene until at least 11:40 p.m
