NBC’s The More You Know returns with the Peacock series

There is more to know.
Fans of TV nostalgia will be happy to hear that NBC plans to relaunch its legendary public education campaign, The More You Know, as a limited series on the network’s streaming app Peacock, the Hollywood Reporter said Monday.
“My ultimate goal with this new format is to get people talking about the issues that matter and spark a dialogue that leads to change,” said Hilary Smith, executive vice president of corporate social responsibility at NBCUniversal, in a exclusive statement.
“[Peacock] has really given us more inventory than we’ve traditionally had on air,” Smith continued.
Compared to its predecessor’s 30-second spots, the new series will air five- to nine-minute episodes on the issues it believes are important to viewers.

“Sometimes it’s difficult to sum up the complexity of everything in 30 or 15 seconds… This is more about exploring different perspectives and giving people ideas and inviting them and it really works with the themes that we’ve chosen, from mental health to the environment and also to food and clothing insecurity,” she explained.
The show’s cast includes music icon John Legend, NBA superstar Steph Curry, and Today host and meteorologist Al Roker.
